Mattress covers tested for antimony and harmful substances

...so that tired dreamers are guaranteed a restful sleep.

Babies would prefer us!

It is very important to us that all our products are tested several times for harmful substances by independent testing institutes and are well suited for use in a cot.  Antimony, which is used to manufacture polyester, is found in almost all covers on the market. All Träumeland mattress covers have antimony levels below the permissible limit values and are thus completely harmless for babies.

Nonetheless, we always particularly wanted to go one step ahead to avoid the residual risk. We now also offer mattress covers whose antimony content is below 1/100 of the Öko-Tex limit. We offer parents a real low-pollutant alternative.

INTERESTING FACTS ABOUT ANTIMONY

What is antimony?

Antimony is a semimetal and is used to manufacture polyester. It can be found in almost all the mattress covers available on the market.

How do babies come into contact with antimony in the cot?
Antimony can be released through wear and perspiration, breathed in or absorbed into the skin.

What are the antimony levels in mattress covers?
Tolerances:
Öko-Tex:        less than 30 mg/kg
Öko-Test        less than 1 mg/kg

Träumeland covers:
Up to 2016                   2-3 mg/kg
Covers from 2017     smaller/equal to 0.1 mg/kg

Whereas the antimony level in the previous Träumeland mattress covers at 2-3 mg/kg was already significantly lower than the permissible Öko-Tex level of 30 mg/kg, we have now succeeded in making products below 1/100 for this level  (Additional info: according to DIN EN 16711-2 using acidic perspiration procedure | Result 2016: < 0.1 | German recognised test institute | more detailed information on testing procedures available on request)!

Why is Träumeland switching to these covers?
So we can offer parents a real low-pollutant alternative!
