3D air-cushion layer

EMC® sensitiv foam
EMC® sensitive special foam was originally designed for use in hospitals, due to its antibacterial effect. Therefor EMC® sensitive special foam is particularly suitable for allergy sufferers.

Polyester
Polyester is a particularly durable and elastic fibre – therefore it is particularly suitable for mattress covers, and enhances them.

TENCEL
With TENCEL™, a new age of fibre technology has been introduced. TENCEL™ is a cellulose fibre and is obtained from wood in an environmentally-friendly process. It unites the advantages of many fibres: as fine as silk, as strong as polyester, as easy to care for as acrylic, as cool and pleasant to the touch as linen, as warm as wool; it also absorbs much more water vapour than cotton.

Washable fleece
100 % polyester | Washable fleece is a washable hollow fibre that is ideally suited for babies with allergies. It has high resilience and adds cushioning to Träumeland mattress covers.
Which mattress is right for my baby?
When selecting from so many different models, the decision is certainly not easy.
We therefore provide a points system which should facilitate rapid and reliable orientation through our baby mattress range: the more quality points a mattress has, the better. There are a few factors to consider, depending on what you find important: good ventilation, the quality of the mattress cover and core and additional functions.
Which mattress cover should I choose?

Which mattress core should I choose?

Which additional functions (divisible cover, baby and toddler side)... do I require in a baby mattress?
Here too, the following applies: the more additional functions a baby mattress has, the safer is the sleeping environment. >>VIDEO
How long can I use my Träumeland baby mattress?
You can use the mattress until your child grows out of their cot. The mattresses are suitable for children up to 5 years or with a weight of up to 25 kg.
Baby side and toddler side
How do I recognise the baby and toddler sides?
The baby side is slightly softer than the toddler side. There are labels on them stating 'baby side' or 'toddler side' on the mattress cover and on the mattress core. In this way, you can find the required markings directly on your mattress after washing the cover.
When should I turn the mattress from the baby side onto the toddler side?
We recommend that you turn the mattress from the baby side onto the toddler side from a weight of approximately 12 kg. >>VIDEO
Material matters
My new mattress smells…
Above all new mattress cores can emit a new odour which cannot dissipate completely beforehand due to the packaging. The odour is harmless and will have dissipated at the latest two to four weeks after unpacking the mattress. Ideally, ventilate the mattress outside prior to initial use. However, please ensure that the mattress does not become damp and is not exposed to direct sunlight. All our mattress cores are tested multiple times by independent test institutes for harmful substances and are superbly suited for use in baby beds.
My mattress core has suddenly turned yellow - what should I do?
Don't worry - a yellow mattress core is completely harmless.
Every foam discolours yellow through exposure to sunlight or artificial light. This is completely harmless and certainly not harmful for your baby.
My mattress has a depression in it
The covers of our mattresses are quilted with fleece on the inside. After initial use, this fleece loses a little of its volume. If your child always sleeps in the same place on the mattress, a depression may appear to form where its head contacts the mattress. If you lay your child in different places on the mattress, or when the child later moves around more on the mattress, the fleece is compressed across the entire cover, and the "depression" disappears again. This compression of the cover does not represent a disadvantage for your child.
Is the mattress core also washable?
No. We use a water-based adhesive in the production of our mattress cores; the individual parts would then fall apart.
Can I use Angelcare® with a Träumeland mattress?
Our mattresses have not been tested by us or by Angelcare® with regard to this possibility. Having been the market leader in German-speaking regions for years now, however, we have never received any negative feedback on functional impairments. According to Angelcare®, the devices do not function to one hundred percent when using mattresses with visco-elastic foam. This concerns the models Angel Dream and Little Angel as well as mattresses made from natural latex.
Customer sizes
None of the mattresses from the Träumeland standard range fit into my baby bed. Are customer sizes available?
No problem - simply contact a Träumeland distributor located close to you. It is best to bring a template for the required mattress with you. We do not currently offer customer size mattresses via our online shop.
Due to the materials used, we cannot unfortunately offer customer sizes for the following products:
- Green Dream
- Brumm Brumm
- Whirlwind
- Angelhair
- Top air
- White star
Maximum possible sizes for customer sizes:
The maximum possible size for baby mattresses is: 75 x 160 cm
Wetness protection covers
Do I require an additional cover to the wetness protection integrated into the cover?
For mattresses with Träumeland "sleep safety" or "sleep fresh" covers, no additional cover is required for wetness protection, as long as your baby is wearing a nappy. These covers have the wetness protection function integrated into the mattress cover. Additional wetness protection covers stop not only the moisture, but also the ventilation and should therefore not be used.
From when can I use an air-tight wetness protection cover?
We recommend that you do not use a watertight or air-tight wetness protection cover until after your child has finished wearing nappies. During the initial two years of life, you should certainly never use air-tight materials in a baby bed. A mattress core will sufficiently protected with the Träumeland "sleep safety" and "sleep dry" mattress covers at this age of the child.
