The unique multifunctional cover "sleep safety" consists of 38% TENCEL™ and 62% polyester on the surface and 100% polyester on the reverse. In addition to the integrated wetness protection function, the mattress cover contains natural fibre TENCEL™ which keeps the baby from sweating.

TENCEL™ Lyocell

With TENCEL™ Lyocell, a new era in fiber technology has begun. TENCEL™ Lyocell is a cellulose fiber and is obtained from wood in an environmentally friendly process. It combines the advantages of many fibers: Fine like silk, strong like polyester, easy-care like acrylic, cool and comfortable like linen, warm like wool and absorbs significantly more water vapor than cotton.

Cold foam

In contrast to soft foam, raw materials of a higher quality are used in cold foams. Cold foam has better point-by-point elasticity characteristics, is more breathable and has a longer lifetime. The integration of air channels and contour cuts improves important factors such as ventilation and elasticity.

3D air cushion layer

Due to their numerous individual polyester threads, 3D air cushion layers are incomparably breathable and extremely point-bypoint elastic. This allows your baby to breathe more freely and sweat less.

  1. Keep away from fire and heat sources:
    This product must not be placed near flames, stovetops or other heat sources to avoid the risk of fire and serious injury.
  2. Remove all the packaging before use:
    Before using the product, remove all packaging components, including films, tapes and labels, to reduce the risk of injury or accidents.
  3. Do not use the product if it is damaged:
    Do not use the product if any of the parts are broken, ripped or damaged. Any further use could cause injury or danger to children.
  4. Make sure that the face of the child is not covered:
    Make sure that the face of the baby remains completely uncovered to prevent obstruction of breathing and overheating.
  5. Danger of accidental swallowing of products with zip fasteners:
    Products with zips contain small parts that could be swallowed by little children. Supervise them at all times during use and ensure that the zip is properly closed.
  6. To be used under adult supervision

Mattress manufactured in accordance with DIN EN 16890

This Träumeland mattress has been manufactured in accordance with the safety requirements of the European DIN standard EN16890:2017.
In accordance with the current mattress standard, our mattress has a safety zip without a slider so that children cannot open the mattress cover. A tool (e.g. a paper clip) must be used to open the zip.

When selecting from so many different models, the decision is certainly not easy.
We therefore provide a points system which should facilitate rapid and reliable orientation through our baby mattress range: the more quality points a mattress has, the better. There are a few factors to consider, depending on what you find important: good ventilation, the quality of the mattress cover and core and additional functions.

All covers for Träumeland mattresses (with the exception of our children’s and teenagers’ mattresses, excluding floor-level mattresses) comply with safety standards and therefore do not have a traditional zip.

In accordance with the current mattress standard, our mattresses have a safe fastening without a zip, so that children cannot open the mattress cover. To open the fastening, a tool (e.g. a paper clip, etc.) must be used temporarily.

Above all new mattress cores can emit a new odour which cannot dissipate completely beforehand due to the packaging. The odour is harmless and will have dissipated at the latest two to four weeks after unpacking the mattress. Ideally, ventilate the mattress outside prior to initial use. However, please ensure that the mattress does not become damp and is not exposed to direct sunlight. All our mattress cores are tested multiple times by independent test institutes for harmful substances and are superbly suited for use in baby beds.
Don't worry - a yellow mattress core is completely harmless.
Every foam discolours yellow through exposure to sunlight or artificial light. This is completely harmless and certainly not harmful for your baby.
No. We use a water-based adhesive in the production of our mattress cores; the individual parts would then fall apart.
The baby sleep experts Angelcare and Träumeland have tested all baby mattresses (60x120 and 70x140 cm) from Träumeland. Compatible Träumeland mattresses are marked with a logo on the product (this is also listed on the website under "Certificates")!

A template is required for all mattresses with special dimensions (except square mattresses).
The maximum size for cradles, bassinets, co-sleeper is: up to 55 x 110 cm

Baby mattresses with Träumeland "sleep safety" or "sleep dry" covers do not require an additional cover for moisture protection, provided the baby is wearing a diaper. These covers have the moisture protection function* integrated in the mattress cover. Additional wetness protection pads not only stop moisture but also ventilation and should therefore not be used.

* Wetness protection means that small amounts of liquid can be absorbed by the cover if, for example, your baby's diaper is too full. Large amounts of liquid cannot be absorbed.

We recommend that you do not use a watertight or air-tight wetness protection cover until after your child has finished wearing nappies. During the initial two years of life, you should certainly never use air-tight materials in a baby bed. A mattress core will sufficiently protected with the Träumeland "sleep safety" and "sleep dry" mattress covers at this age of the child.
