What does the TOG value mean for sleeping bags?
The TOG value describes how warm a sleeping bag is. The higher the value, the better the sleeping bag retains heat. Choose the TOG value to match the room temperature:

Always choose the sleeping bag according to the room temperature, not the outside temperature.
An optimum sleeping temperature is 18-20 °C - your baby should be warm at the neck, but not sweaty.

Finding the right size
The optimum size of your sleeping bag is determined by the baby's height: from the shoulders to the toes + 10 cm = perfect sleeping bag size.
There should therefore be approx. 10 cm of space between baby's feet and the end of the sleeping bag to ensure enough freedom of movement.
