Träumeland is consistently focused on healthy baby sleep. "Creating baby and children's products as if they were intended for our own children was our motivation from the very beginning - and we are sticking to it," explains Hannes Nösslböck.

That's how the company developed the Träumeland mattress that breathes. 

Commitment for a better future

Sustainability is for us and all the employees in our company much more than simply a buzz word. For us it also represents an attitude. To identify where and how we can improve we asked a renowned company to calculate our CO₂ footprint and, in doing so, every single step of our entire production process was closely examined.

What is a CO₂-Footprint?

A CO₂ footprint describes the volume of greenhouse gases which a company produces either directly or indirectly along the entire value chain. This includes all emissions from the raw materials, production, transport, trade, utilisation, recycling and waste disposal.

This helped us to establish the immense potential for climate protection that lies in our company. The goal: carbon neutrality.

What does carbon neutrality mean?

We have had the greenhouse gas emissions caused by our company's activities recorded. The climate impact of our company was determined for us by Fokus Zukunft GmbH & Co. KG determined the climate impact of our company for us: Our carbon footprint is approximately 499 tons of CO2 equivalent pollutants per year. To put this into perspective: On average, an Austrian causes about 8 tons of CO2 per year through his or her lifestyle. 

Where we cannot save emissions directly and immediately on site, we purchase corresponding certificates that we use to support climate protection projects elsewhere in the world. In this way, we offset our emissions with suitable measures in another part of the world.
