Tipps for unpacking mattress
Here you will receive valuable tips on the proper care of your mattress after purchase, including practical advice on unpacking, unrolling, and subsequent maintenance.
Step-by-step guide
We spend countless hours of our lives in bed, so a good mattress is crucial. So that the decision for the right mattress doesn't become too expensive, we developed the Graz mattress. It is the most stable and firmest model among our Träumeland mattresses, ideal for stomach sleepers or heavier individuals.
Structure of the mattress
The Graz mattress features a high-quality cold foam core with a density of 35 kg/m³. The 7-zone comfort cut supports the body evenly and adapts ergonomically to the pressure zones. The mattress is approximately 20 cm high.
After unpacking, the mattress unfolds within 24 hours; it should lie flat for this.
Zoning
The Graz mattress features a 7-zone comfort cut that supports and relieves the body at key points. The zones are designed so that the shoulders and pelvis can sink in a bit deeper, while the waist and lumbar area are supported stably.
This zoned structure is designed to follow the natural body profile and ensures that the spine takes an ergonomically correct position, regardless of whether you sleep on your back or side.
As usual, the zones allow for a dynamic adjustment to different body shapes and sleeping positions.
Degree of firmness
The Graz mattress is rather firm (H4) - medium-firm (H3) and offers a neutral, universal sleeping sensation.
The cold foam of the mattress offers a balanced combination of stability and comfort. This makes the Graz suitable for people who prefer a well-supportive sleeping experience without having to forgo a pleasant sinking feeling.
Care instructions
Washing the mattress cover
The mattress cover can be easily removed and washed at up to 60°C. To do this, simply open the zipper and separate the cover into two parts. This way, you can wash the individual parts separately if your washing machine is rather small. In general, it is recommended to wash both parts separately to avoid overloading your washing machine. After washing, you should not put the cover in the dryer but let it air dry. Due to the fabric composition, drying doesn't take long.
Turning & Flipping the Mattress
We also recommend regularly rotating the mattress, that is, swapping the head and foot ends. This contributes to even usage and maintains the shape stability of the foam core for many years.
Remove dust & mites
The mattress core itself can be regularly vacuumed with a clean upholstery nozzle or beaten to reduce dust and mites. Here you can find more information on how to care for your mattress. Please do not use chemical cleaners or pure steam cleaners, as they can damage the foam.
New mattress smell
Like with a new car, a mattress can also have a slight NEW smell at first. This smell usually dissipates after a few days. In addition, ensure good ventilation of the room in the first few days.
Mattress cover
The cover of the Graz is made from a breathable blend of polyester and viscose, ensuring a pleasantly dry sleeping experience. The quilted fibers simultaneously increase moisture absorption and improve temperature regulation.
Due to its elasticity, the cover fits the body well without wrinkling. Thanks to the continuous zipper, the cover can be divided into two parts and washed separately.
Sleep climate
A good sleeping climate is created by the combination of breathable foam structures and a cover that quickly releases moisture. The open-pore structure of the cold foam supports a continuous air circulation, keeping the mattress dry and hygienic.
Regularly airing out the bedroom improves the room's climate and additionally supports the ventilation of the mattress. Likewise, the bedroom should not be overheated. Pay more attention to cooler temperatures. Here are tips for an optimal sleeping environment:
- Regularly ventilate (for about 20 minutes once a day or several times a day for 5-10 minutes)
- In the summer, you should ventilate early in the morning and late in the evening.
- Make sure you have a proper base - slatted frame, so your mattress can breathe too.
Warning notice
Our mattress core is made of cold foam, which is flammable. The mattress must therefore never be exposed to an open flame or strong heat sources (such as heating devices, lighters, candles, electric heating devices - which heat up significantly). The foam ignites quickly and can release a large amount of smoke.
- Keep away from open flames and heat sources: This product must not be brought near open flames, hot plates, or other heat sources to avoid fire hazards and serious injuries.
- Remove all packaging before use: Before using the product, remove all packaging components, including foils, bands, and labels, to avoid injuries or accidents.
- Do not use the product if damaged:
- Do not use the product anymore if individual parts are broken, torn, or damaged. Further use could cause injuries.
Usage duration
The Träumeland mattress Graz is designed to provide reliable sleeping comfort for many years. Due to the stable foam quality, we recommend replacing the mattress after about 8–10 years to ensure lasting optimal hygiene and support.
Disposal
As soon as the mattress has reached the end of its life, it should be disposed of at the local bulky waste or recycling center. Cardboard and packaging material can be recycled separately according to the corresponding symbols.
We spend countless hours of our lives in bed, so a good mattress is crucial. To make the decision for the right mattress and firmness level easier, the Mondsee mattress is ideal. A mattress that is flexible - with two different firmness levels and different sleeping sensations.
Strucure of the mattress
The Träumeland Mondsee mattress offers a gently supportive, adaptable sleeping experience thanks to its carefully constructed design. Inside, there is a multi-layer core made of high-quality cold foams with densities of 35 and 45 kg/m³, which together provide a harmonious combination of elasticity and stability. Additionally, integrated lumbar support pads made of soft foam support the lower back and promote an ergonomically healthy sleeping position.
The total height of the mattress is approximately 20 cm.
After unpacking, the mattress unfolds within 24 hours; it should lie flat for this.
Zoning
The Mondsee mattress features a precisely crafted 7-zone comfort cut that aligns with the body's natural pressure points. The shoulder zone allows for a soft sinking in, while more stable areas in the pelvic and lumbar regions provide optimal support. The lordosis inserts improve relief in the body's center, while the zoned design allows for ideal spinal alignment for both side and back sleepers. The mattress adapts perfectly to different body shapes and sleeping positions due to its zoned cut.
Degree of firmness
The Mondsee mattress offers two different firmness levels: soft (H2) - medium-firm (H3). The firmness level can be adjusted by simply turning the mattress.
Care instructions
Washing the mattress cover
The cover can be separated using a zipper and can be washed at up to 60 °C. Wash the parts separately and let them air dry.
Turning & Flipping the Mattress
The Mondsee can be turned as desired. Regular turning, ideally every two months, extends the lifespan of the foam and maintains its adaptability for many years. However, the mattress should not be turned upside down, but only rotated or flipped horizontally.
The cover of the Mondsee consists of 67% polyester and 33% viscose and is quilted with a fleece made of 100% polyester. The fiber structure used is breathable, soft to the touch, and ensures that moisture is quickly released.
