For us and all employees in our company, sustainability is far more than just a buzzword—it’s a mindset. To identify where and how we can continue to improve, we had our _carbon footprint assessed by a renowned company, which allowed us to take a close look at key steps in our production process.

What is a _carbon footprint?

A carbon footprint refers to the amount of greenhouse gases generated directly or indirectly by a company throughout its entire value chain.

This is how we identified our potential for climate protection.

What does sustainability mean to us?

We have had the greenhouse gas emissions caused by our company’s activities measured. Fokus Zukunft GmbH & Co. KG determined our company’s environmental impact for us: Our carbon footprint amounts to approximately 499 metric tons of CO₂-equivalent pollutants per year. To put this in perspective: On average, an Austrian generates about 8 metric tons of CO₂ per year through their lifestyle. 

Where we cannot directly and immediately reduce emissions on-site, we purchase corresponding Certificates to support climate protection projects in other parts of the world. In this way, we offset our emissions through appropriate measures in another part of the world.
