Declaration on accessibility

We strive to make our website accessible in accordance with the Accessibility Act as amended to implement Directive 2019/882 of the European Parliament and of the Council of April 17, 2019 on the accessibility requirements for products and services.

This accessibility statement applies to the website https://www.traeumeland.com.

Status of compliance with the requirements

Due to the incompatibilities and exceptions listed under "Non-accessible content", this website is partially compatible with conformance level AA of the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) or with the applicable European standard EN 301 549 V2.1.2 (2018-08).

Digital accessibility gives people with disabilities unrestricted access to digital content. We are constantly implementing measures to improve the user-friendliness of our website and are guided by recognized standards for barrier-free design. We focus on the following areas, among others:

  • Keyboard operability
The website is designed in such a way that all essential functions can be fully operated using the keyboard. A logical tab sequence is maintained.
  • Optimized focus for keyboard navigation
Interactive elements have a clearly visible focus indicator that makes the current position clear when navigating with the keyboard.
  • Screen reader compatibility
The structure of the website follows semantic principles with correctly applied ARIA roles. This allows the content to be interpreted reliably.
  • Skip links
Users can use skip links to jump directly to specific anchor points, which makes it easier to navigate with a keyboard or screen reader.
  • Accessible forms
Forms on this website are marked with correct labels. In addition, error messages can be read out by technical aids.
  • Interactive components
Dynamic content such as drop-down menus, accordions or dialog boxes are implemented in such a way that they are accessible for assistive technologies.

If the complaint is justified, the FFG must issue recommendations for action to the federal government or the legal entities concerned and propose measures to remedy the existing deficiencies.

Non-accessible content from a technical perspective

The website is based on the REDX content management system, which has been extensively developed with regard to accessibility. Most of the active functions are designed to be accessible and corresponding features have been implemented to improve the user experience for all users.

The content listed below is not accessible from a technical point of view for the following reasons. Depending on the individual configuration and use of this website, they may be used in full, in part or not at all.

Incompatibility with the accessibility regulations

Incompatibility with guideline 2.4 Navigable

2.4.3 Focus order

When using anchor links, the keyboard and screen reader focus does not jump directly to the respective content.

In multi-level forms, the focus does not jump directly to the first field of the new tab after switching to the next tab.

On the location map, the visible focus does not change between the markers if a tooltip has already been opened with the Enter key.

With the zoom-in and zoom-out buttons of the highlight module, both buttons can be focused and read out, although only one is visible.

Incompatibility with guideline 3.3 Accessibility

3.3.1 Error messages

In forms, error messages are only displayed by the screen reader if the validation takes place within the field.

Error messages in the login form disappear after 10 seconds and are then no longer accessible to screen readers.

3.3.2 Labels and instructions

In the case of checkbox selection fields, the screen reader does not output correctly if it is a mandatory field.

Incompatibility with guidelines 1.3 Customizable, 2.1 Keyboard access and 2.4 Navigable

The Team module currently in use is not yet optimized for accessibility. A new accessible version of the module is planned and will be made available in a future version.

Disproportionate load

Incompatibility with guideline 2.1 Keyboard access

2.1.1 Keyboard operation

When using the NVDA screen reader, only the first result in the search can be accessed using the tabulator.

Content does not fall within the scope of the legislation

Incompatibility with Directive 2.4 Navigable

2.4.1 Skipping blocks

The first skip link is not displayed when the NVDA screen reader is activated. This is a known problem in NVDA and is outside the responsibility of the website.
