Frequently asked questions and answers about children's duvets and pillows
Children should only sleep with a duvet from around 12 months of age. Before this, experts recommend using only baby sleeping bags due to the increased risk of suffocation and overheating. From 1 year of age, often only from 18 months, a light, breathable children's duvet can be used if the child can breathe freely, turn over and push the duvet away themselves. However, it is generally recommended to use a sleeping bag for as long as possible. This is simply safer and protects your child from the risk of suffocation. A sleeping bag with feet is also suitable for active children.
From around 5–6 years of age, you can switch to the larger size of 135 × 200 cm. This is suitable for a child's first big bed.
