Why an ergonomic pillow is so important

People spend about one-third of their lives sleeping, and most of that time is spent with their head resting on a pillow.
The wrong pillow can cause the neck to be overextended, disrupt the body’s natural alignment, and reduce sleep comfort.

An ergonomic pillow ensures that your head, neck, and spine align in a natural line .
It relieves pressure on muscles and intervertebral discs, promotes blood circulation, and helps your body regenerate while you sleep.
This way, you’ll wake up not just rested, but truly refreshed .

The Wrong Pillow—The Wrong Posture

Pillows that are too high or too flat throw the spine out of balance.
The head tilts forward or backward, muscles tense up, and neck problems are inevitable. An ergonomic pillow, on the other hand, supports an ergonomic posture.

Frequently asked questions about buying a pillow

Side sleepers need a higher and more stable pillow that fills the space between the head and shoulder.
Ergonomically shaped pillows or models with a firmer foam core are best suited, as they support the neck and keep the spine straight.
A pillow should be high enough to keep your head and neck in line with your spine.
For side sleepers, 10–12 cm is standard, for back sleepers around 6–9 cm.
Stomach sleepers need a very flat pillow (approx. 2–5 cm).
Washable pillows with removable covers and foam pillows with a closed structure, in which mites are less likely to settle, are suitable for allergy sufferers.
It is important to have a cover that can be washed regularly at 40–60 °C.

The choice depends on your sleeping position, body type, any physical discomfort (e.g., neck pain), and the level of support you prefer.

  • Side sleepers need a taller, more supportive pillow
  • Back sleepers need a medium-height pillow
  • Stomach sleepers should opt for a very flat pillow

Ergonomic pillows are suitable for most people.
