Frequently asked questions and answers about baby duvets and flat pillows
Once your baby is sleeping stably on their back, can turn themselves over and has enough freedom of movement, you can carefully switch to a light, breathable baby duvet – usually between 12 and 18 months. Nevertheless, a sleeping bag is always the safer alternative.
It is important that the filling is tested for harmful substances, hygienically washable and specially developed for babies – so that your baby can sleep safely and comfortably at all times.
This compact size ensures that your baby is safely covered without too much excess fabric. Larger duvets are only suitable once the child moves to a cot, usually from around 2 years of age.
- Summer duvet: very light, ideal for warm temperatures
- Winter duvet: warmer, but still breathable
- All-season duvet: perfect all-rounder for a constant sleeping temperature
For most babies, an all-season baby duvet is sufficient.
