Die Größe der Kindermatratze hängt vom Alter und der Größe des Kindes ab. Für Kleinkinder und Babys sind Matratzen in der Größe 60x120 cm oder 70x140 cm üblich. Wenn dein Kind älter wird (ab 2 Jahre) passt oft eine Kinderbett Matratze 90x200 cm besser. Diese Größe bietet ausreichend Platz und hält länger, während dein Kind wächst. Achte darauf, dass die Matratze immer länger als das Kind ist (ca. 20cm) damit es sich frei bewegen kann. Natürlich kann die Größe auch von deinem Bett abhängen.
Größen nach Alter des Kindes:
- Babys & Kleinkinder (0-5 Jahre)
60x120 cm oder 70x140 cm
- Ältere Kinder (2-15 Jahre bzw. sobald das Kind aus dem Gitterbett wächst)
90x200 cm - 140x200 cm Matratzen (je nach Körpergröße, Bedürfnisse und Bett)
Eine gute Stützfunktion ist bei Kindermatratzen wichtig, da die S-Form der Wirbelsäule bei Kleinkindern noch nicht ausgebildet ist. Mittelfeste Kindermatratzen mit einer Höhe von 12 bis 18 cm sind ideal.
Bei der Wahl einer Kindermatratze 70x140 solltest du auf einige wichtige Punkte achten. Achte darauf, dass die Matratze schadstofffrei ist und über eine gute Belüftung verfügt, damit dein Kind bequem und sicher schläft. Eine mittelfeste Matratze bietet meist die beste Unterstützung für die Wirbelsäule deines Kindes. Überprüfe auch, ob der Bezug abnehmbar und waschbar ist, das erleichtert die Reinigung enorm.
